Shanniah Wright is from Flatbush, Brooklyn where she was born and raised. Having graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelors of Arts studying Justice and Peace Studies with a minor in African American studies and Entrepreneurship, Shanniah is eager to bring her experiences and learning to her community. While also pursuing a Master’s of Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management at Marshall University, she serves on RFC executive team. Stemming from her love of giving back to her community she co-founded Rose From Concrete in the Spring of 2020. Furthermore, Shanniah brings her analytical expertise, strategic planning, love for learning, and other resources to best combat the intentional threats that plague her communities.

With a hopeful heart, Shanniah looks forward to serving in her role to further execute the organization’s vision in the future as well as building an extensive network to further meet the needs of the community.

Kayla Williams is a Brooklyn, NY native with roots in Jamaica and seeds in California, where she got her BA in Political Science and Data Science from Stanford University. As she serves on the Rose from Concrete executive team, she brings nearly a decade of professional experience across industries, technical training from her academic career, and lived experiences with the very systems RFC is working to transform. She is honored to work and learn in a space where she can bring her full self each day and tackle the challenges that have plagued her local and global community. She envisions a world where power is harnessed by the people and used for their betterment, preservation and self determination.

Drawing from his Jamaican heritage and Brooklyn's vibrant culture, Shaquille Williams stands as a symbol of the union of tradition and innovation. An honor graduate with a physics background, he combines intellectual precision with a commitment to societal progress.

Shaquille has shown mastery over complex financial matters and led pioneering initiatives, including strategic projects for the Mayor's Office and intricate work at Blackrock. His expertise in finance, paired with his entrepreneurial vision, has significantly shaped organizational paths.

In addition to his financial leadership, Williams shines as a Machine Learning Engineer and Program Manager, leading innovative green energy projects and passionately mentoring the next generation. His forward-thinking approach emphasizes curiosity in science and the boundless potential of life.

His involvement with Rose From Concrete signifies a deep connection to shared goals and values. In this role, he adeptly combines data-driven methods with genuine community engagement, creating a fresh and innovative educational model.

Born and raised throughout the Eastern neighborhoods of Brooklyn, Osariemen Aiyevbomwan brings bold and exciting visions about what it means to be African in this world– to build a community, a home far away from home, where true love, cooperation, self-determination for oneself and their people is possible. Osariemen’s contributions also stem from her undergraduate studies in Human Development and Public Health, alongside experience in student organizing, research, performing arts, and facilitation. These years of training have highlighted how empowered people and creative problem solving can be and have always been the change agents needed to address critical societal gaps of our time. As a recent addition to our executive team, Osariemen also brings professional expertise in strategy consulting with hopes of harnessing our individual and collective strengths as we work to transform the systems and social conditions that exist today.
